Why Do Republicans Hate Voting?

I tend to lean Progressive in my politics. That means that, generally, I’m for new thinking, innovation, reconstruction and change. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t. But I’m of the opinion that we should have had a Moon-base decades ago and the reason why our society has devolved into a mass of swarming trash is because of the lack of Moon-bases. Thus, I’m a pretty big fan of voting. Everyone should vote. You should participate in your local, state and national elections. You should know the candidates and their positions and, if you think you’d be good at it, you should run for public office yourself. Democracy is messing, by design. But, if more people took part, it would be far less messy and far more effective.

For the most part, I think Conservatives believe the same thing. At least, I think so. They don’t act like it, but I do think they believe it. I actually go back and forth about this. The common wisdom is that Conservatives in the Republican party are in favor, part and parcel, of voting restrictions. They would be very much in favor of making it more difficult to vote. Now, I don’t like painting anyone as a villain. Conservatives don’t look at themselves in the mirror and shine their horns and get ready to trick people to sell their souls.
